Field Clinical Specialist – Mitral Therapies (South West Region)

About the role

The Field Clinical Specialist supports the Transcatheter Mitral & Tricuspid Therapies business unit by delivering education, training, and technical assistance for mitral and tricuspid heart valve devices across the South West region.

Key responsibilities

• Certify centers, physicians, and staff according to Edwards Lifesciences SOPs.
• Interact with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and proctors to provide device education, handling, implantation, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and continuously improve training curricula, materials, and tools based on clinical trial experience and guidelines.
• Conduct one‑on‑one and structured in‑service training sessions for physicians, hospital personnel, and staff.
• Provide post‑procedure follow‑up support to ensure continuity of education and optimal patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with sales teams to plan growth strategies, upsell in strategic accounts, and validate software/hardware updates in the field.
• Monitor market and competitive activity, reviewing clinical support activities with sales leadership.
• Perform other incidental duties as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in medical device or clinical settings, preferably as a CathLab nurse.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience delivering training in a clinical or technical environment.
• Background in interventional cardiology or related structural heart specialties is strongly preferred.
• High flexibility with frequent regional travel.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MS Office Suite.
