Tracking Specialist Intern

About the role

Join Back Market’s Data & Measurement team to ensure accurate, privacy‑compliant tracking across our website and apps in 17 markets. You will work on Google Tag Manager, GA4, and advertising tags while supporting marketing, product, and data teams.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain tags, triggers, and variables in web and server‑side GTM containers for platforms such as Google Ads and Meta.
• Specify and QA dataLayer events with developers, ensuring new features ship with correct tracking.
• Run tracking audits across markets, detect broken or missing events, investigate discrepancies and follow fixes to production.
• Build data‑quality checks and alerts in BigQuery and monitor tracking compliance with user consent and privacy regulations.
• Maintain the tracking plan and documentation, and answer tracking questions from Marketing, Product and Data teams.

Required profile

• Final‑year Master’s student in engineering, business, data or digital marketing (or equivalent) seeking a 6‑month internship.
• Strong interest in web analytics and tag management, with basic JavaScript, HTML and browser developer‑tools skills.
• Fluent in French and English.
