Senior Legal Counsel – Distribution & e‑Commerce (Europe)

About the role

L'Oréal is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join its Zone Europe Legal team, focusing on distribution and e‑commerce matters. Reporting to a Deputy General Counsel, you will provide legal guidance across multiple countries and help shape the legal strategy for a fast‑moving, multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the legal strategy and roadmap for Zone Europe.
• Advise operational and country teams on distribution, commercial strategy, RGM, advertising, data protection and consumer law.
• Conduct legal risk assessments for e‑commerce initiatives, new distribution models and M&A/integration projects.
• Draft, review and negotiate distribution agreements, commercial terms, leases and intragroup contracts.
• Coordinate pre‑litigation, litigation and regulatory inquiries with internal and external advisors.
• Create templates, guidelines, trainings and tools to streamline legal processes and ensure consistent advice.

Required profile

• Law degree or equivalent qualification in an EU or UK jurisdiction.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial legal experience, either in‑house or in private practice.
• Strong knowledge of distribution, competition, consumer, marketing and digital laws.
• Fluent English; French is a plus.
