Senior Consultant / Associate – Banking & Finance & Risk, Paris

About the role

Oliver Wyman is hiring an Associate for its Banking & Financial Services practice (Finance & Risk) in Paris. The consultant joins a team working with the wider OW European partners and experts on finance and risk strategy, credit transformations, capital accuracy and models, smart pricing, strategic planning, financial resource management, and AI and risk modelling, alongside Oliver Wyman Data and Analytics specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Break down complex problems into discrete tasks, direct junior consultants' focus and plan and execute analysis to craft recommendations.
• Work side by side with clients and project team members, managing small teams and moving projects forward.
• Provide clients with unique insight into the chosen subject area.

Required profile

• 3-6 years of relevant experience, ideally with leading consulting firms focused on financial services, or with banks (General Inspection) or FinTechs.
• Undergraduate or advanced degree in STEM, finance or economics from a top university.
• Fluent business English and French; outstanding written and oral communication skills.
• Experience on at least one topic listed in the practice overview (e.g. strategy and corporate finance, credit and regulation, digital and data, operations transformation, customer and proposition design).
• Willingness to travel worldwide and to work at least three days per week in the office or with clients.

Nice to have: industry expertise in banking, especially credit risk and finance, CFA or other relevant certifications, or an MBA from a top-tier university.
