Debt Collection Expert

About the role

Coface, a global trade credit insurer offering trade credit insurance, business information, debt collection, single risk insurance, surety bonds and factoring, is looking for a Debt Collection Expert in its Group collection team. The role manages relations with all collection entities, follows up on collection performance and runs the daily management of the collection network.

Key responsibilities

• Network management: work closely with regional claims and collection managers, organise workshops to improve processes, share best practices, prepare monthly calls with the regions and support entities in making sensitive decisions
• Make decisions within Group delegation levels and ensure internal coordination between collection entities
• Attend internal and external meetings with suppliers, customers and other group departments, promote the business line and resolve issues
• Reporting and analysis: monthly analysis of collection results, regular portfolio reviews across countries, action plans to improve performance, monitoring of legal services and key supplier relationships
• Follow up sensitive files and coordinate within the collection tool
• Work with the COP product owner and the Business Technology team, develop reporting capabilities and take part in meetings with BT
• Customer service: take part in debt collection tenders, promote Coface's Debt Collection Services to clients, prospects, partners and brokers, monitor service quality for major clients and handle relevant complaints

Required profile

• 5 years of experience in the debt collection industry or equivalent
• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent university degree
• Knowledge of Coface's products, conditions and provisions, especially Debt Collection
• Excellent negotiation and mediation skills
