Senior Consultant / Associate – Banking & Finance & Risk, Paris

About the role

Oliver Wyman is hiring an Associate for its Banking & Financial Services practice (Finance & Risk) in Paris. The consultant joins a team working with the wider European partners on finance and risk strategy, credit transformations, capital accuracy and models, smart pricing, strategic planning, financial resource management, and AI and risk modelling, alongside the Data and Analytics specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Break down complex problems into discrete tasks and direct junior consultants toward the key aspects of each problem
• Plan and execute analysis, identify core issues and craft suitable recommendations
• Work side by side with clients and project team members to move projects forward
• Manage small teams and deliver results in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

Required profile

• 3-6 years of relevant experience, ideally with leading consulting firms focused on financial services, or with banks (General Inspection) or FinTechs
• Undergraduate or advanced degree in STEM, finance or economics from a top university
• Fluent business English and French
• Track record of delivering results in a high-growth, fast-paced environment and willingness to travel worldwide
• Nice to have: industry expertise in banking, especially credit risk and finance, CFA or other certifications, or an MBA from a top university
