Part‑time Accountant (France/Italy focus)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive, part‑time Accountant to support our international operations, primarily for the French and Italian subsidiaries. The role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Pernes office, and offers the chance to shape accounting processes in a dynamic, cross‑border environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting for the French (801) and Italian entities, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Participate in the monthly reporting process, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of financial statements.
• Maintain accurate records throughout the year, handling payments and related documentation.
• Assist with general ledger analysis and preparation of documents for the head office in Berkeley.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
• Handle accounting aspects of international transactions and coordinate with foreign stakeholders.
• Contribute to the structuring and continuous improvement of accounting processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent (Bac Pro/BTS or similar).
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in an international or multi‑stakeholder setting.
• Strong knowledge of French accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Fluency in English (mandatory); French required and Italian a plus.
• Ability to work autonomously, adapt to non‑standard structures, and manage time effectively in a part‑time format.
• High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and discretion with confidential financial information.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage (or equivalent).
• Advanced Excel skills.
