Legal Counsel – In‑House Advisor for Tech Company

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Counsel to join a fast‑scaling technology company operating in France. The role blends strategic advisory work with hands‑on execution, supporting multiple departments while navigating complex legal and privacy frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical, business‑focused legal support across commercial, sales, HR, finance, privacy, and compliance functions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, ensuring balanced risk allocation and legal compliance.
• Manage contract templates and implement efficient contract‑management processes.
• Support sales and finance teams in negotiations, risk assessment, and debt recovery activities.
• Monitor evolving legal and regulatory developments and translate them into actionable internal policies.
• Contribute to corporate governance, internal policy creation, and compliance frameworks.
• Design and deliver legal training, guidance materials, and workshops to improve legal awareness.

Required profile

• Law degree with at least 3 + years of experience as an in‑house legal counsel, preferably in a tech or digital environment.
• Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts in English.
• Solid understanding of compliance, privacy, and international regulatory frameworks.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to provide solution‑oriented advice.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to assess business risks.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach with strong ownership and independent multitasking.
• Fluent in English; additional experience with international or U.S. legal frameworks is a plus.
