HR Generalist – EMEA

About the role

Sol de Janeiro is seeking a proactive HR Generalist to support its EMEA operations, primarily for the French legal entity. Reporting to the Director, HRBP – EMEA & UK, you will manage day‑to‑day HR operations and act as the main HR contact for employees and business leaders across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full employee lifecycle in France (onboarding, contract administration, changes, leaves, off‑boarding).
• Draft, amend, and maintain employment contracts and HR documentation in line with French labor law.
• Maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS and coordinate payroll inputs with the payroll provider.
• Administer employee benefits for the French workforce and support UK benefits as needed.
• Provide first‑line HR support on employee relations matters, including absences, performance, disciplinary processes, and grievances.
• Assist in setting up and supporting the French Works Council (CSE), including election preparation and meeting coordination.
• Support recruitment activities and coordinate with hiring managers.

Required profile

• Hands‑on, proactive attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment.
• Strong knowledge of French employment legislation and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication and confidentiality skills.
• Willingness to build processes from scratch and grow into a broader HR Business Partner role.
