Head of Infrastructure (On-Premise Virtualization)

About the role

Signaturit Group, a Namirial company and a Qualified Trust Service Provider (QTSP) under the eIDAS Regulation, is hiring a Head of Infrastructure for its French site in Puteaux. You will manage and evolve the on-premise IT infrastructure of the French site, coordinating with group-level standards on tooling, security, monitoring and backup. The role is hands-on: you implement and troubleshoot directly on virtualization infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the on-premise infrastructure built on VMware, Proxmox and Nutanix, ensuring continuity, performance and security
• Plan and run capacity planning, patching, upgrades and migrations across virtualization platforms
• Lead the local IT team, distribute operational workload and give direct technical support when needed
• Keep the infrastructure aligned with group standards (3-2-1 backup, monitoring, security, IaC)
• Manage storage, networking and backup/disaster recovery systems for the site
• Work with the Head of Infrastructure, Architecture & Platforms and the other infrastructure teams (Italy, Spain) on cross-country initiatives
• Help define operational processes and documentation (runbooks, incident and crisis playbooks)
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for a QTSP (eIDAS, NIS2, GDPR) as they relate to IT infrastructure

Required profile

• Solid experience (5+ years) managing on-premise virtualization infrastructure
• Technical-first, managerial-second profile, comfortable getting hands dirty
• Autonomy in decision-making and priority management, problem-solving in complex, critical environments
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders across countries
• Fluent French and English

Required skills

• Hands-on expertise in at least two of VMware, Proxmox and Nutanix (all three is a strong plus)
• Enterprise storage, networking (switching, firewalling) and backup systems (e.g. Veeam)
• Automation and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform/OpenTofu, Ansible)
• Linux and Windows Server in production
• Monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Dynatrace, Better Stack) and perimeter security (e.g. Fortinet)
