Freelance Research Physicist – AI Trainer

About the role

We are looking for a freelance research physicist to help train AI systems by creating realistic, computationally demanding physics problems. This project‑based role is remote and ideal for specialists who enjoy bridging cutting‑edge research with AI evaluation.

Key responsibilities

• Design original optics problems that simulate real research workflows.
• Ensure each problem is computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually within days or weeks.
• Develop problem sets covering mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics.
• Base problems on genuine research challenges or practical applications from optics and physics.
• Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Physics (theoretical, experimental, or computational) or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in research, applied physics, or teaching.
• Experience with numerical simulation methods.
• Ability to design problems that mirror real physics research workflows.
• Strong written English (C1 level or higher).
