FPSO 3D Model Specialist

About the role

The 3D Model Specialist ensures the integrity, operability and maintainability of the FPSO's digital plant representation throughout the EPSCC phases. The position is based at the EPSCC contractor premises in an international, multi-cultural environment, with frequent missions aboard.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the development and validation of the FPSO 3D model, aligned with project specifications and client requirements.
• Ensure the model supports constructability, inspection, maintenance and operational accessibility.
• Coordinate progressive clash detection and resolution across disciplines.
• Take part in formal 3D model reviews at key milestones (30%, 60%, 90%) and close comments raised by contractors and company experts.
• Review contractor deliverables such as layout, access routes, mechanical handling paths and safety features like escape routes and firewater spray patterns.
• Monitor clash detection and validate tagging and metadata consistency across asset objects, supporting integration with engineering databases.
• Give feedback on the operability and maintainability of piping and handling layouts, in line with the Field Operations Philosophy.
• Coordinate read-only model access (e.g. Navisworks) and fortnightly updates during execution, and validate the completeness of the final 3D model package including design databases, specifications and macros.
• Comply with safety instructions and company HSE rules.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 10 years of experience in 3D modeling for offshore oil and gas projects, preferably FPSO.
• Client-side experience in EPSCC project environments.
• Strong understanding of layout ergonomics, safety design and maintenance accessibility.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills in multidisciplinary, multicultural teams.

Starting date October 2026 (subject to FID); duration 1 to 4 years after the FPSO contract award, renewable. Location: 1 to 2 years in Paris, up to 18 months in Singapore and up to 18 months in Geoje, South Korea; residential status.
