About the role

IBM France is seeking a Tax Professional to join its Finance and Tax team. The role involves leading multi‑functional tax teams, providing technical guidance, and representing IBM before tax authorities in France.

Key responsibilities

• Lead indirect and direct tax teams, offering supervision, training and advice.
• Establish clear performance expectations, deliver honest feedback and ensure accountability.
• Define and support IBM’s tax positions and negotiate with federal, state and local tax officials.
• Stay up‑to‑date with legislative and business‑driven tax developments and assess their impact on IBM.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of direct and indirect taxation concepts.
• Exposure to team dynamics and a curiosity for people‑management principles.
• Interest in tax policy, legislation and its effect on business operations.
• Awareness of performance‑management fundamentals.
• Familiarity with general business operations.
