Employee Relations Consultant

About the role

Sony Europe is looking for an Employee Relations Consultant based in its Puteaux office, near La Défense. The consultant supports employees and managers, resolves complex issues and ensures policies meet local legal standards, working within a European team that liaises with HR Business Partners, employee representatives and management.

Key responsibilities

• Propose HR policies aligned with legal requirements and best practice, and advise HR Europe functions on implementing them.
• Identify compliance risks and develop mitigation plans, and investigate alleged violations promptly, fairly and with full documentation.
• Handle works councils, unions and other employee representative bodies, and negotiate with them.
• Coordinate compliance matters with internal and external counsel and the Data Privacy Officer.
• Develop and deliver training on conflict resolution, workplace ethics and legal compliance.
• Analyse ER trends, track compliance metrics and maintain accurate records.
• Support the adoption and localisation of corporate HR policies, and plan and support organisational changes and restructuring.
• Take part in audits.

Required profile

• Several years' experience as an Employee Relations Specialist.
• Excellent knowledge of French employment law, regulations and HR best practice.
• Experience implementing company policies and procedures.
• University degree or equivalent experience.
• Fluent French and English; Italian and/or Spanish is an advantage.

Required skills

• Objective, thorough and confidential workplace investigations.
• Change management and negotiation skills, including supporting organisational change and leading ER initiatives.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft tools.
