Commercial and Operational Management

About the role

Patricia Baez Company is looking for a Commercial and Operational Manager in Saint-Martin-de-Crau, France. The post covers store performance, inventory control, team management, financial control and new store openings, working closely with Marketing, Purchasing, Logistics and Human Resources.

Key responsibilities

• Execute business expansion and new business development strategies, including wholesale customer growth and product diversification.
• Oversee store performance, sales levels, profitability and inventory control, and develop the annual strategic plan and budget for all stores.
• Coordinate promotions, discounts and advertising campaigns with Marketing and Purchasing, and propose marketing initiatives to drive revenue growth.
• Keep store teams compliant with brand guidelines and standards, and ensure sales are made at profitable margins.
• Review P&L statements with Senior Management, track sales targets by product category and report market trends and opportunities.
• Manage inventory: replenishment, cycle counts, expiry dates, shrinkage prevention and product presentation, and handle product re-exports when requested.
• Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate staff, run performance-based incentive programmes and submit monthly staffing reports to Regional Human Resources.
• Implement customer service practices and visual merchandising, keeping stores clean, organised and aligned with brand identity.
• Run feasibility studies and manage permits and licences for new store openings.
• Monitor operating expenses, prepare monthly budgets, handle cash deposits and petty cash, reconcile cash and submit supplier payment schedules.
