Proposition Sales Specialist - LSEG Workspace

About the role

LSEG is looking for a Sales Specialist within its Data & Analytics team to position and present its desktop solutions, including the new Workspace platform, to the trading and banking sector. The role supports Account Managers on all sales (new, cross-sells, up-sells) and targets investment, corporate, regional and sovereign wealth banks, financial institutions, IDBs, non-financial corporates, asset managers, asset owners, hedge funds and similar clients.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert supporting Account Managers on all sales, from lead identification to close, managing contractual, legal and technical requirements
• Understand the value proposition, competitive landscape and key selling points of the solutions
• Build and maintain a pipeline of recurring opportunities, updating the Sales Force.com tool and keeping orders and forecasts accurate
• Develop direct high-level customer relationships, especially with C-level decision makers and influencers
• Demonstrate the services and position the strengths of the products
• Analyse competitors' activities, propositions and threats, and share customer feedback with business divisions and the Head of Sales for Trading Solutions
• Plan and prioritise sales efforts so that future leads are followed up at the right time

Required profile

• Commercial or customer service experience within the financial markets
• Sales or account management experience in the financial markets, with knowledge of the sell-side and industry trends
• Proven track record of building key customer relationships
• Excellent consultative sales skills and negotiation experience for complex agreements
• Ability to work in a high-visibility, pressured environment and in a matrix hierarchy
• Knowledge of the broader market and how LSEG serves it
