Senior Network Engineer III

About the role

SBS is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join its IT Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate has strong experience designing, deploying and maintaining secure, efficient and resilient network infrastructures, with expertise in SASE, BGP, firewall management, SD-WAN, CSP operations, reverse proxy, data center networks (Layer 3 leaf-spine / Clos fabric) and Wi-Fi, plus a solid IT security background. Professional English is mandatory because the role involves daily collaboration with a globally distributed team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain high-performance network infrastructures, including SASE solutions and BGP routing.
• Design and operate Layer 3 leaf-spine (Clos) data center fabrics, with BGP underlay and VXLAN/EVPN overlay, supporting migrations, cutovers and expansions.
• Configure, audit and monitor firewalls, including rule sets, VPNs and threat prevention.
• Design and manage SD-WAN solutions and CSP environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), including VPNs and VPCs.
• Configure and manage reverse proxies (load balancing, protection, monitoring).
• Apply security best practices: hardening, vulnerability management, Zero Trust, IDS/IPS, and support security audits and penetration testing.
• Troubleshoot network issues, document configurations and generate performance and incident reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field; certifications such as CCNA, CCNP or CISSP are a plus.
• 5-8 years of network engineering experience, including hands-on data center fabric operation.
• Professional written and spoken English.
• Self-learning, problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• SASE, BGP, firewall technologies (e.g. Palo Alto, Fortinet), SD-WAN and reverse proxy (e.g. NGINX, HAProxy)
• Data center fabric design (leaf-spine / Clos) and BGP EVPN-VXLAN
• Cloud networking in AWS, Azure or GCP
• Basic working knowledge of Aruba AFC-managed switches and Cisco Meraki; vendor specialist expertise not required
