Senior Internal Controller

About the role

Swan is looking for a Senior Internal Controller to join the Internal Control team within the Compliance, Risk & Internal Control department. The primary mission is to design, deploy and manage a permanent control system, ensuring risk management, regulatory compliance and operational efficiency while supporting business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the internal control framework, including second‑level control plans and oversight of the incident‑management cycle.
• Conduct second‑level control missions to evaluate the effectiveness of existing first‑level control systems.
• Analyze control results, produce detailed reports, and identify gaps to improve risk‑management performance.
• Formulate strategic recommendations, monitor their implementation and mitigate identified risks.
• Manage internal control tools and update risk mapping through quarterly meetings with key department heads.
• Support operational teams in formalising procedures and defining relevant first‑level controls.
• Document and maintain comprehensive procedures for second‑level control activities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to foster a strong risk culture across the organisation.

Required profile

• 5‑6 years of experience in internal control or audit, preferably in a fintech, payment institution or bank.
• Experience working in a regulated environment.
• Strong ability to adapt quickly to changing requests.
• Good working abilities in English and French.
