Purchasing Manager – Avionics Systems (Comm, Nav & Surveillance)

About the role

Join Airbus Commercial Aircraft as a Purchasing Manager within the Communication, Navigation and Surveillance commodity team. You will work with a multicultural group of buyers managing an annual spend of around $500M, influencing cost, revenue and EBIT across multiple aircraft programs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage contracts throughout the product life‑cycle, ensuring delivery on time, quality and cost.
• Align strategy across programs, supply chain, engineering and customer services for all Airbus aircraft families.
• Lead cost‑reduction campaigns, international tenders and design‑change contractualisation.
• Collaborate with US and European suppliers to accelerate innovation and manage supply‑chain risks.
• Define and implement aftermarket strategy, securing contractual frameworks and monitoring supplier performance.

Required profile

• 5‑year degree in Engineering or Business.
• Strong English negotiation skills with proven contract and commercial experience.
• Experience in supplier relationship management or procurement.
• Good technical understanding of aircraft systems (plus).
