Product Manager Apprentice - Checkout

About the role

Back Market, a global marketplace for refurbished devices, is looking for a Product Manager Apprentice to join its Customer Journey Team within the Checkout Squad in Paris. The apprenticeship focuses on improving the online and app shopping funnel, running AB tests on the user interface and working with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful product initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in the full product lifecycle: idea generation, prioritisation, development and launch.
• Write detailed specifications and user stories, oversee feature implementation with IT engineers and carry out quality assurance.
• Independently set up and run AB tests to optimise the conversion rate from product page to checkout, analysing and interpreting the results.
• Work with Product Managers, designers and marketing to prioritise feature requests and ensure they add value to customers and sellers.
• Make sure each feature's performance can be measured, estimate its impact and follow up results after launch.

Required profile

• Interest in product management, with a strong focus on the user.
• Analytical, methodical and precise communication skills.
• Curious, proactive, resourceful and rigorous; team spirit is essential.
• Fluent spoken and written English (mandatory).
• Already enrolled in a French work-study programme (contrat d'alternance / apprentissage).
• Big plus: familiarity with software developers, cross-team work, Agile, UX or AB testing.

What we offer

• Apprenticeship starting in January 2027, ideally for 24 months (12 months to be discussed)
