Transaction Monitoring Team Manager

About the role

In this role you will lead transaction monitoring strategies, oversee alert investigations, and ensure AML and regulatory compliance in a fast‑paced fintech environment. You will manage a team of investigators, improve detection systems, and balance risk management with a smooth customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Transaction Monitoring investigators and seniors, conducting regular 1:1s, performance reviews and development discussions.
• Perform quality reviews of investigations, identify recurring issues and use findings to improve processes, guidance and training.
• Identify and implement enhancements to monitoring workflows, tools and rules in collaboration with Compliance, Product, Data and Engineering.
• Optimize the transaction monitoring programme by refining rules, scenarios and controls to reduce false positives while maintaining risk coverage.
• Monitor the impact of process and tooling improvements, iterating based on results and stakeholder feedback.
• Collaborate closely with KYC, Financial Crimes, Product and Data teams to deliver a seamless experience for partners and customers.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in AML, compliance or financial crime, preferably within fintech, payment provider or bank.
• At least 1 year of experience leading or mentoring a team and driving performance.
• Strong understanding of French and European regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and stakeholder‑management skills, able to work across compliance, product and engineering.
• Fluent English; additional European language is a plus.
