Tour Guide

About the role

Belmond is looking for a Tour Guide to act as its main ambassador for travel experiences. You will lead personalized tours, sharing engaging stories and insights about the destinations while tailoring your approach to each group's interests and needs. The role sits in the Front Office & Guest Relations area and is full time.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct informative and engaging tours that highlight the unique features of the destination.
• Share insights into local culture, history and traditions so guests feel immersed.
• Adapt tours to the interests and preferences of groups of different sizes and demographics.
• Ensure guest safety and comfort during excursions and provide excellent customer service.
• Build and maintain relationships with local suppliers, vendors and other stakeholders.
• Prepare materials such as brochures or presentations to improve the tour experience.
• Gather and share guest feedback to help continuously improve tours and services.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and French.
• Driving licence (to drive a van).
• Experience as a tour guide or in a related role in hospitality or tourism.
• In-depth knowledge of the local area, including its history, culture and attractions.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, able to engage diverse audiences.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage different groups.
