System Administrator – Remote (France)

About the role

This remote System Administrator position supports a global workforce from France. You will ensure that devices, software, networks and security solutions run reliably, securely and efficiently across multiple environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for Windows, macOS and Linux users.
• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot workstations, peripherals and other IT equipment.
• Manage and prioritize tickets using Jira or similar systems.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, connectivity and network issues.
• Oversee device lifecycle management, including inventory, deployment, maintenance and replacement.
• Configure and maintain security solutions such as VPN, antivirus, MDM, backup systems, firewalls and monitoring tools.
• Ensure compliance with internal IT policies, security standards and operational procedures.
• Maintain up‑to‑date technical documentation and knowledge resources.
• Support network administration tasks (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs).
• Contribute to automation, scripting and process‑optimization initiatives.
• Assist with user access management and system configuration tasks.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of hands‑on system administration or technical support experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive attitude.
• Practical experience with Windows, macOS and Linux operating systems.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN).
• Experience with security tools (antivirus, firewalls, backup, MDM, logging).
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and technical documentation.
• Basic scripting abilities.
