Risk Manager – Regulated Treasury Infrastructure

About the role

Spiko, founded in 2023, provides institutional-grade cash management to SMEs, non-profits, financial advisers and fintechs, issuing, operating and distributing its own products. It is building a dedicated risk function and is hiring its first Risk Manager, who will map, monitor and mitigate risks across the regulated activity, design controls and build the internal control framework. The role reports to the Head of Finance and works closely with Compliance & Legal, Finance, Product and Tech.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain risk mapping across market, counterparty, operational, liquidity, compliance and technology risks, define and track KRIs and limits, and produce regular risk reports to management and regulators
• Define risk management processes and procedures with each team, develop and document policies, and design Level 1 controls
• Collect the data needed to implement controls, act as main contact for outsourced internal control consultants and monitor their work
• Contribute to risk reviews of new products, regulatory files (including the UK FCA expansion), and support relationships with depositaries, valuation agents and banking partners
• Train teams on risk topics

Required profile

• 4-8 years of professional experience, ideally in a Big 4 audit firm, a bank's general inspection or a finance-sector risk department
• Master's degree from a leading engineering or business school
• Solid understanding of French and European regulatory frameworks (MiFID)
• Experience in compliance (AML/CFT, MiFID), financial (counterparty, liquidity, market and FX) and cyber risks
• Analytical rigor, ability to structure complex topics, fluent English, entrepreneurial mindset
• Nice to have: exposure to digital assets / MiCA, fund administration, or a proven track record of building a risk framework
