Research Engineer – Wearable ML and BCI

About the role

Join Snap Inc.'s Spectacles BCI team in Paris to advance machine learning for time‑series data and next‑generation wearable sensing. You will work closely with hardware and software teams worldwide to bring cutting‑edge cognitive and physiological decoding to market.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute product‑focused research projects using electrophysiological and cognitive data.
• Build signal‑processing and ML pipelines for noisy, real‑world sensor streams.
• Develop algorithms for multimodal biological signal decoding and collaborate on model evaluation and demos.
• Translate findings into actionable recommendations for stakeholders and leadership.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in machine learning, computer science, biomedical engineering, computational neuroscience or related field.
• 3+ years of experience developing algorithms for time‑series, biometric or wearable data.
• Hands‑on experience with wearable biometrics platforms (e.g., smartwatches, fitness trackers).

Required skills

• Strong signal‑processing fundamentals for biosensor data.
• Proficiency in Python and scientific‑computing/ML tools.
• Knowledge of ML for multivariate time series and multimodal sensor fusion.
