About the role
This position sits within a dynamic, international People team and is responsible for employee relations across multiple Northern European countries, including France. You will ensure fair, consistent, and legally compliant handling of employee matters while supporting managers and HR partners.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a wide range of employee relations cases such as disciplinaries, grievances, performance issues, dismissals, reorganisations, and investigations across several jurisdictions.
- Provide expert guidance to managers and HR stakeholders to ensure consistent, lawful decision‑making.
- Conduct investigations, interview participants, document findings, and prepare clear reports with recommendations.
- Contribute to the design, implementation and continuous improvement of regional ER policies, frameworks, templates and procedures.
- Deliver training and capability‑building sessions on ER topics and employment‑law updates for managers and People teams.
- Analyse case trends to identify risks and opportunities for early resolution and process optimisation.
- Collaborate with People Operations to keep the team informed of employment‑law changes and best practices.
- Support digitalisation initiatives, including the use of AI tools to enhance case management and reporting.
Required profile
- Strong knowledge of employment law and ER practices across Northern Europe or similar multi‑jurisdiction environments.
- Proven experience handling complex employee relations cases and investigations within a matrix or international organisation.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and sound judgement.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder‑management skills, adaptable to diverse cultures and audiences.
- Highly organised, able to prioritise multiple cases in a fast‑paced setting.
- Proactive, resilient and solution‑oriented mindset.
Required skills
- In‑depth understanding of Northern European employment legislation.
- Experience with ER case management processes and investigative techniques.
- Familiarity with digital HR tools and AI‑enhanced reporting solutions.
