Product ML Engineer

About the role

We’re looking for a Product ML Engineer to join one of our product experience teams — SMB, Scaler or Enterprise — and own the ML side of short, high‑impact projects. You’ll work on focused ML problems with a clear product outcome, sometimes fine‑tuning our models, sometimes integrating external models, always choosing the fastest path to customer value.

Key responsibilities

• Embed directly within a product team and collaborate closely with SMB, Scaler or Enterprise groups.
• Own ML projects end‑to‑end: frame the problem, choose the approach, ship the feature and monitor its performance.
• Make build‑vs‑buy decisions, deciding when to fine‑tune a model versus integrating an external solution.
• Move from idea to production quickly, prioritising rapid iteration and customer impact.
• Leverage shared infrastructure and expertise from the central ML team while staying aligned with product priorities.
• Gather rapid feedback from users, monitor usage and iterate based on real‑world data.
• Balance technical depth with pragmatism, opting for existing solutions when they meet product goals.
• Write production‑grade code that lives in the product codebase.
• Ensure quality in production through sound evaluations, performance monitoring and failure analysis.

Required profile

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience shipping ML‑powered products.
• Strong experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow or JAX.
• Ability to fine‑tune vision or diffusion models and design meaningful evaluations.
• Pragmatic mindset focused on delivering customer value over model perfection.
• Product‑oriented, measuring success by shipped features, user behaviour and business outcomes.
• Comfortable writing maintainable production code and moving between experimentation and engineering.
• Strong ownership, capable of taking ambiguous problems to production.
• Fast iteration style, preferring short feedback loops and continuous improvement.
• Curious, collaborative and able to share knowledge across teams.
• Fluent in English.
