Senior Solutions Engineer – Financial Services

About the role

Snowflake is looking for a senior‑level Solutions Engineer dedicated to a strategic global financial institution. You will own the full technical relationship, drive use‑case expansion across business units, and act as a trusted advisor to CTO, CDO and engineering leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end technical relationship for a single global financial services account, from discovery through proof of concept and ongoing expansion.
• Build and deliver demonstrations, solution architectures and executive presentations that map Snowflake’s platform to data and AI priorities of financial services buyers.
• Design and lead PoC engagements covering risk analytics, regulatory data platforms, real‑time fraud detection, customer intelligence and AI/ML workloads.
• Translate complex regulatory and technical requirements into production‑ready Snowflake solutions.
• Partner with the Account Executive to co‑develop joint success plans and ensure technical alignment across opportunities.
• Coordinate with Product, Professional Services, Support and Engineering to resolve blockers and accelerate adoption.
• Mentor junior Solution Engineers, raising the technical standard of the global accounts practice.

Required profile

• 8+ years of pre‑sales solution engineering, technical consulting or data engineering experience in enterprise B2B technology, with significant exposure to financial services customers.
• Deep understanding of financial services data use cases such as risk management, regulatory reporting (Basel, MiFID II, GDPR), market data, fraud analytics and AI/ML for credit and customer intelligence.
• Proven track record of leading complex technical evaluations, winning competitive PoCs and building lasting technical relationships with strategic enterprise accounts.
• Executive communication skills with the ability to engage credibly with CDOs, CTOs and CIOs at global financial institutions.
• Experience using AI and LLM‑based tools in technical workflows and articulating Snowflake’s Cortex AI capabilities in an FSI context.
