Product Legal Counsel – Spanish Market

About the role

BlaBlaCar is seeking a Product Legal Counsel with strong Spanish language skills to support its fast‑growing carpool and energy‑saving certificate businesses across Europe. The role is permanent and will involve close collaboration with product, regulatory and commercial teams to ensure compliance with evolving digital and consumer laws.

Key responsibilities

• Act as trusted legal advisor to carpool and energy‑saving certificate teams in France, Spain and other EU jurisdictions.
• Provide guidance on platform regulation (e.g., DSA), e‑commerce, consumer protection and commercial contracts.
• Work with product teams to align features with EU and local digital regulations.
• Draft, negotiate and review commercial, partnership, marketing and licence agreements.
• Manage pre‑litigation and litigation matters.
• Coordinate with internal partners, including government relations, to respond to regulator inquiries.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years of experience as a qualified Spanish lawyer with strong EU law knowledge.
• Experience in start‑ups or technology companies, either in‑house or in private practice.
• Familiarity with French law is a plus.
• Proven ability to work across multiple jurisdictions and meet aggressive deadlines.
