Principal Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

Sezzle is looking for a Principal Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and operate the core platform that powers its fintech and e‑commerce services. You will tackle the toughest infrastructure challenges, improving throughput, latency, resilience, and cost efficiency as the business scales.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, prototype, and implement large‑scale infrastructure solutions on AWS.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Optimize Aurora RDS (MySQL and PostgreSQL) databases for speed and reliability.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code pipelines.
• Participate in on‑call rotation, diagnose incidents, and deliver lasting fixes.
• Create AI‑assisted SRE tools for incident investigation, capacity planning, and automation.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives from design to production.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with a data‑driven approach to performance and reliability.
• Experience working in fast‑growing fintech or e‑commerce environments.
