PLM Project Manager (Export Control & Compliance)

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a PLM Project Manager to join the Information Management - Digital for Develop (DP) department in Toulouse, France. You will be part of the DPIX team, acting as the central hub managing the Digital Product portfolio and cross-PSL epics, ensuring product information flows seamlessly, compliantly and securely across functions and borders while adhering to global export control regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Define, implement and monitor export control classification and compliance rules within PLM systems and the cross-PSL architecture.
• Co-lead the GECS project (MFT6 team) and WP15 (Export Control & IP) to accelerate export control compliance in engineering applications.
• Partner with IT and Enterprise Architects on data access controls, hosting solutions and cross-border digital workflows.
• Conduct compliance impact assessments on cross-PSL epics and liaise between DPIX, DP PSLs, Legal, Engineering and Operations.
• Oversee export control classification (ECCN, USML, etc.) of digital assets and train product owners and engineers on clean-data handling.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Law, International Business, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Export Control, Trade Compliance or Data Governance (aerospace, defense or high-tech manufacturing preferred).
• Proven track record of managing complex, transversal projects and cross-portfolio deployments.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of international export control regulations, including ITAR, EAR and European/National dual-use and military regulations.
• Familiarity with PLM concepts, digital engineering pipelines, identity and access management (IAM) and securing digital supply chains.
