Repair and Design Certification Engineer (7/7 Shifts)

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Certification and Airworthiness Engineer (m/f) to join its Repair and Design Certification department in Toulouse, France. You will help approve in-service repair solutions proposed by the Customer Care Center so that aircraft can return to service after an event. The work is done seven days a week in daytime shifts by rotation, in close collaboration with Airbus design offices worldwide and with offshore teams in Mobile (USA) and Bangalore (India).

Key responsibilities

• Provide airworthiness approval of in-service repair solutions using the Repair and Design Approval Form (RDAF) and Flight Condition Documents (FCD)
• Interface with customer services, design offices, chief engineer teams and other airworthiness departments
• Act as airworthiness specialist in multi-function teams to resolve Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations
• Work on all Airbus civil programs and all ATA chapters, building broad aircraft knowledge

Required profile

• Degree in engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent)
• Advanced level of English
• Experience in a design office and/or in airworthiness
• Good general knowledge of aeronautics
• Structure or systems skills; knowledge of configuration management is a plus
• Eligibility for, or a current, security clearance
