Operations Project Manager – Data Center Projects

About the role

The Operations Project Manager will lead mission‑critical infrastructure projects for data‑center capacity expansion, retrofits, and sustainability initiatives. Reporting to the Data Center Operations team, the role bridges engineering excellence with operational pragmatism to ensure projects meet hyperscale standards and are ready for seamless handover.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end capital projects from scoping through commissioning and handover.
• Define scope, objectives and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and ensure alignment with SLAs, KPIs and regulatory requirements.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules and resource allocations, and monitor progress against budget and timeline.
• Coordinate with the Operations team to guarantee that deliverables are maintainable and serviceable after handover.
• Manage risks related to supply‑chain delays, permitting, safety and environmental compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration or related field; PMP/Prince2 or Master’s is a plus.
• 5+ years experience delivering hyperscale data‑center projects (new builds, retrofits, fiber infrastructure) with budgets over €500k.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects across geographically dispersed campuses.

Required skills

• Change Management and Risk Management in data‑center environments.
• Building Management System (BMS) and networking concepts.
• Fiber optic network design, OSP/ISP standards and splicing techniques.
• Civil works knowledge including excavation and structural reinforcement.
• Project‑management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools such as MS Project and Jira.
