Onboarding and KYC Specialist

About the role

Spiko, a fintech founded in 2023 that provides institutional-grade cash management to businesses, non-profits, financial advisers and fintechs, is looking for an Onboarding and KYC Specialist. You will own the end-to-end investor onboarding journey, from first document review to account activation, across several European markets. You will balance client experience with compliance quality, and you will work in the Customer Success team alongside the Compliance team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the onboarding of retail, corporate and institutional investors, across France and other European markets.
• Carry out first-level KYC checks for individuals and legal entities: identity documents, beneficial ownership, source of funds and risk scoring.
• Review and approve investor documents in the app, including bank account verification, according to risk level and transaction size.
• Maintain ongoing due diligence, monitor client documents and flag anomalies to the AML team.
• Investigate complex or high-risk cases with the Compliance team.
• Improve the onboarding process by identifying bottlenecks and proposing improvements.
• Work with Product and Engineering to use AI for document extraction, identity verification and risk screening, and to automate manual checks.
• Document and standardize onboarding workflows and give feedback to Compliance on the practicality of procedures.

Required profile

• 1-3 years of experience in onboarding, KYC operations or client-facing compliance, ideally in financial services, fintech or a regulated environment; hands-on experience reviewing corporate documentation is a strong plus.
• Comfortable working across multiple European jurisdictions with different KYC/AML requirements; fintech or banking experience is a plus.
• Fluent French (native level) with excellent written skills, and professional English.
• Rigorous, autonomous and proactive, able to manage a pipeline of dossiers independently and escalate when needed.
• Curious about how AI can improve KYC and onboarding workflows.

• An additional European language such as Spanish, Italian or German.
