Material Scientist with Python – Freelance AI Trainer

About the role

We are looking for a material scientist with strong Python skills to join our freelance AI‑training platform. You will design and validate engineering‑focused problems that help improve AI systems used by leading tech companies.

Key responsibilities

• Design original material‑engineering problems that simulate real‑world workflows.
• Create Python‑based tasks that require numerical methods, iterative solutions, or simulations.
• Ensure problems are computationally intensive and involve system design, optimization, and analysis.
• Base problem sets on actual research challenges or practical engineering applications.
• Verify solutions using Python and standard engineering libraries.
• Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.

Required profile

• Degree in Material Science or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience (research, applied work, or teaching).
• Strong written English proficiency (C1+).
• Understanding of practical engineering constraints and approximations.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Numerical libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, SciPy.
• Familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, or Stata (any can be equivalent).
