M&A FIG Analyst – Financial Institution Group

About the role

Lazard is seeking a motivated Analyst to join its Financial Institution Group (FIG) within the M&A team. You will work on a range of advisory projects, supporting senior bankers in delivering high‑quality financial advice to institutional clients.

Key responsibilities

• Build complex financial models to support transaction analysis.
• Perform valuation assessments and equity analyses.
• Conduct sector research using information resources and databases.
• Prepare marketing materials with guidance from senior team members.
• Participate actively in deal execution and manage client interactions as required.

Required profile

• Graduated from a top business, engineering school or university with a focus on corporate finance or financial engineering.
• Prior experience in investment banking, private equity, audit, corporate finance, or banking.
• At least six months of experience at a top‑tier player in the FIG sector.
• Fluent in French and English.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong financial analysis, valuation, and financial modelling capabilities.
• Familiarity with Mergermarket, FactSet, Bloomberg and AI‑enhanced tools.
