Legal Intern – 6‑Month Internship in Paris

About the role

We are looking for a Legal Intern to join Photoroom’s legal team for a six‑month, full‑time internship in Paris. Working directly with the Head of Legal, you will support sales, growth, tech and people teams as they navigate commercial and regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in commercial contracting: review, draft and negotiate sales, marketing and IT agreements.
• Provide legal guidance to operational teams, share best practices and up‑skill them on contractual processes.
• Support GDPR compliance activities, including updating the ROPA and reviewing DPAs.
• Monitor emerging regulations such as the EU AI Act and Data Act, translating them into internal processes and contract clauses.
• Maintain the contract library and ensure it reflects current legal developments.
• Help optimise legal workflows using AI tools to improve team efficiency.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a Master’s programme in law, preferably with a focus on data protection, IT or business law, and able to provide a French “convention de stage”.
• Previous experience in a law firm or corporate legal department through an internship.
• Comfortable handling a steady volume of commercial contracts and eager to draft and negotiate independently.
• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
• Business‑partner mindset, curious about the commercial context of legal questions.
• Adaptable to an async, fast‑moving environment and able to manage multiple tasks independently.
• Interest in AI technologies and their legal implications, such as the EU AI Act.
