Legal Counsel – Corporate/Commercial (France, Remote)

About the role

This position is for an experienced Corporate/Commercial Lawyer to join a global technology company operating in France. The role is fully remote and sits within the EMEA legal team, providing cross‑regional support with a primary focus on French operations.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including sales, collaboration, IT, co‑marketing, licence, procurement and master service agreements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, such as MedTech Europe standards and French anti‑gift and sunshine legislation.
• Support settlements and dispute resolution matters and advise on healthcare compliance issues.
• Collaborate on competition law, regulatory, data‑privacy and intellectual‑property topics.
• Contribute to the team’s harmonisation and digitisation initiatives.
• Provide legal training and guidance to employees on templates, processes and procedures.
• Mentor junior team members in contract review and negotiation.
• Represent the legal function on French leadership teams, including the Country Commercial Leadership team.

Required profile

• Qualified and admitted lawyer in France.
• More than 10 years of in‑house or international law firm experience in commercial/transactional work, preferably in life‑science, pharma or biotech.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to influence business teams.
• Proven ability to develop processes, find pragmatic solutions and prioritize work in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.
• Fluent in English and French.

Required skills

• Legal drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts.
• Knowledge of French anti‑gift, sunshine laws and MedTech Europe regulations.
• Understanding of competition law, data‑privacy and intellectual‑property matters.
