Lead Software Engineer in Test, QA

About the role

Mistral AI is looking for a Lead Software Engineer in Test to ensure the reliability, accuracy, and robustness of its AI‑powered products. You will design and execute test strategies for applications, APIs, and machine‑learning models, working closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality user experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop automated test suites for app features, APIs, and model integrations using modern QA tools.
• Identify and rigorously test edge cases in collaboration with product managers and engineers.
• Contribute to quality platforms, building tools and frameworks for scalable testing.
• Implement pre‑release quality gates to validate models, APIs, and platform updates.
• Design and lead comprehensive QA campaigns, including functional, stress, and performance testing.

Required profile

• Proven ability to create and execute comprehensive test strategies for AI products.
• Strong autonomy, self‑starting attitude, and proactive problem‑solving mindset.
• Excellent documentation and collaboration skills with development teams.
