Key Account Manager Automotive

About the role

Join NXP's OEM Account Team to work with a leading global automotive OEM, translating their vision into concrete solutions across NXP's business lines. You will influence significant business opportunities and build executive relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute account strategy, manage customer engagement, RFQ support and pipeline visibility.
• Identify design‑in and socket opportunities aligned with vehicle platforms and roadmaps.
• Act as operational interface with engineering, purchasing and program management, ensuring customer insights drive business actions.
• Manage long‑term automotive programs from design‑in to production and lifecycle phases.
• Support automotive RFQs, pricing reviews and long‑term agreements while maintaining accurate CRM data and forecasts.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of sales and business development experience with global automotive customers.
• Advanced degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or Business.
• Strong understanding of automotive system architectures, OEM cost structures and long‑cycle programs.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills in English; German or Italian a plus.
• Willingness to travel across Italy, Germany, EMEA and worldwide.

Required skills

• Automotive ECU and network architectures (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
• Semiconductor product knowledge (MCUs, SoCs, analog, power, sensors).
• CRM systems experience (Salesforce preferred).
