IT Support Engineer (2nd Line) – 6 months + extension

About the role

We are looking for a proactive IT Support Engineer to provide second‑line assistance to end‑users in Moselle, France. The role is initially for six months with the possibility of extension and combines on‑site presence (approximately two days a week) with remote support.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 2nd‑line support for Windows‑based laptops, desktops and mobile devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to network infrastructure, LAN/WAN and server hardware.
• Participate in hardware deployments, refresh cycles and asset‑management activities.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal infrastructure teams to coordinate changes and upgrades.
• Document incidents and changes in accordance with IT service‑management processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting Windows environments; Linux knowledge is a plus.
• Strong background in 2nd‑line user support and device management.
• Good understanding of network concepts (LAN/WAN) and server hardware.
• Familiarity with ITIL‑type incident and change management processes.
• Fluent in English and French.
