Investment Director - Healthcare Private Equity

About the role

ARCHIMED, a healthcare-focused investment firm with offices in Europe, North America and Asia, is hiring an Investment Director in Lyon. The firm manages €8 billion across its funds and acts as a strategic and financial partner to healthcare businesses, covering areas such as biopharma products, consumer health, healthcare IT, diagnostics, life science tools, medtech and pharma services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the investment strategy and identify and evaluate new opportunities
• Sourcing and origination: build relationships with investment banks and brokers, present opportunities to the investment committee
• Due diligence: lead financial, operational and legal assessments, develop investment theses and valuation models
• Transaction execution: negotiate deals, draft and review legal documents, oversee closing
• Portfolio management: guide portfolio companies and develop exit strategies
• Team leadership: mentor junior investment professionals and foster a high-performance team

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in private equity or the healthcare industry
• Proven track record of leading successful investments and managing portfolio companies
• High level of integrity, strategic thinking, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
