Internal Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Internal Support Engineer to join Nerdio’s Internal Support Team serving the EMEA region. The role involves providing first‑line IT assistance to employees, handling tickets, and maintaining the corporate infrastructure in a fast‑paced, cloud‑first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal support tickets via Zendesk, triaging, prioritising and resolving hardware, software and access issues for a globally distributed workforce.
• Administer user accounts, groups and permissions in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and manage on‑premises Active Directory, including synchronization.
• Perform onboarding and off‑boarding of users, ensuring proper provisioning and de‑provisioning of devices and services.
• Maintain and troubleshoot endpoints, identity systems and collaboration tools, contributing to the overall health of the corporate environment.
• Escalate complex problems appropriately while communicating status and resolutions to end users.
• Document solutions and enrich the internal knowledge base.

Required profile

• Several years of hands‑on experience in IT support or help‑desk roles.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude and willingness to ask questions and share knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a tight‑knit IT team.

Required skills

• Ticketing systems – Zendesk.
• Identity and access management – Microsoft Entra ID / Azure Active Directory.
• On‑premises Active Directory administration.
• Experience with cloud‑based services and endpoint management.
• Familiarity with Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365 and Microsoft Intune is a plus.
