Installation Engineer – Grenoble

About the role

As an Installation Engineer at Applied Materials in Grenoble, you will act as the direct liaison with customers to install, maintain and upgrade semiconductor and display equipment. You will travel across Europe, assembling, connecting and testing cutting‑edge production systems before handing them over to service teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform independent installation tasks including mechanical assembly, electrical connections and robot calibrations.
• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic and gas systems.
• Use digital analytics and basic diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Coordinate with customers to ensure smooth operations and high‑quality service.
• Travel up to 75 % of the time across European sites and support worldwide installations when required.
