Health, Safety & Sustainability Specialist

About the role

Autoliv is seeking a Health, Safety and Sustainability Specialist to lead and enhance HSE programmes across its manufacturing site. You will ensure compliance with legal and corporate standards while driving sustainability initiatives that support the company’s mission to save more lives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain site HSE programmes to meet legal and company requirements.
• Lead risk assessments, job safety analyses and incident investigations, applying corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor inspections, audits and safety observations; track non‑conformances and ensure timely closure.
• Drive waste reduction, energy efficiency and circular‑economy projects.
• Provide HSE input for new product introductions, process changes and capital projects.
• Deliver HSE training, toolbox talks and promote a positive safety culture.
• Maintain HSE documentation, permits, risk registers and emergency response plans.
• Analyse performance metrics and prepare regular reports for site management and corporate stakeholders.
• Coordinate with authorities, auditors and suppliers on compliance matters.
• Support business continuity, crisis management and occupational health programmes.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Hygiene or similar.
• Professional certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH or CIH is desirable.
• Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK/EU HSE legislation and environmental permitting.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence at all levels.
