Internship in Stretchable Electronics & Optics for Artificial Skin

About the role

This 4‑to‑6‑month internship focuses on research and innovation in soft, stretchable electronics for artificial skin demonstrators. You will work in the flexible electronics department, contributing to the design, fabrication and testing of optical waveguides and integrated sensors.

Key responsibilities

• Update and operate the characterization setup, using Python and embedded platforms (Arduino, Raspberry Pi).
• Fabricate and characterize elastomeric waveguides for pressure and temperature sensing.
• Integrate optically active materials (LEDs, photodiodes) into the stretchable waveguides.
• Perform full device characterization in a clean‑room environment.

Required profile

• Master or engineering student in electronics, material science, embedded systems or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of electronic design and circuitry.
• Autonomous, curious and passionate about technological innovation.
• Strong interest in hands‑on experimental work.

Required skills
