Head of Operations

About the role

This senior leadership position will shape and scale the operational foundation of a global, fully remote financial services organization. Based in France, the Head of Operations will drive efficiency, resilience, compliance, and exceptional service delivery across critical functions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive operations strategy aligned with business objectives, focusing on scalability, efficiency, quality, and compliance.
• Lead core operational areas including payments, treasury, reconciliations, card operations, back‑office processes, and digital asset settlement.
• Own operational performance by establishing metrics, controls, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive process optimisation, automation, and transformation using technology, data, and AI‑enabled solutions.
• Create and implement standard operating procedures to improve consistency and visibility.
• Build, mentor, and develop a high‑performing operations team, fostering accountability and collaboration.
• Partner with compliance, risk, and financial crime teams to ensure regulatory adherence.
• Establish operational risk management frameworks, including monitoring, reporting, and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional leaders in technology, data, people, and client‑facing teams.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive experience leading operations in banking, fintech, financial services, or wealth management.
• Proven ability to scale complex, regulated operational functions.
• Strong strategic thinking with a focus on operational excellence and risk management.
• Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams.
