Frontend Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Senior Frontend Engineer to join Mistral AI’s growing product team. You will work on a suite of AI‑powered applications, shaping the user experience from concept to production and ensuring seamless integration with backend services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable frontend features using modern web technologies.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver high‑quality, user‑centric solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code and participate in code reviews.
• Identify and solve performance bottlenecks and reliability issues.
• Stay current with AI and web development trends and apply them to improve our products.

Required profile

• Strong experience building B2C web applications.
• Ability to ship end‑to‑end products independently.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Low‑ego, collaborative mindset and strong communication.

Required skills

• TypeScript and Node.js
• React (including Next.js, Remix, or Vue.js)
• Web libraries such as Tanstack React Query, tRPC, Framer Motion
• Python (preferred for AI product work)
• Distributed systems monitoring/alerting
• UX design tools like Figma
