Embedded & Application Software Development Engineer

Join Airbus UpNext’s strategic demonstrator focused on aircraft connectivity and help accelerate new technologies. Based in Toulouse (Saint‑Martin), you will work on a fixed‑term contract linked to the demonstrator’s delivery (expected end Feb 2028). As an Embedded and Application Software Development Engineer you will design, develop and integrate full‑stack software applications that process high‑frequency telemetry streams, consume and define APIs, and manage multiple database and data‑stream solutions. You will implement robust offline‑mode logic with local caching and data‑sync strategies, use AI‑powered coding assistants such as Claude, GitHub Copilot or Cursor to improve code quality, and ensure proper configuration of on‑board equipment, WAPs and servers interfacing with the aircraft bus. Your networking expertise (NAT, IPTables, DNS, VPN tunneling, IPSec) will be applied to connect on‑premise applications with cloud infrastructure, while IoT protocols and sensor integration will be part of the ecosystem.
