Digital IP and Integrated Circuit Design Internship

About the role

This 6‑month internship is part of NXP's Digital Design team in the Automotive Analog and Mixed‑Signal group. You will work on Battery Management System (BMS) IP, contributing to the architecture, implementation and verification of digital blocks for electric vehicle power management.

Key responsibilities

• Study existing BMS integrated‑circuit solutions and define the best approach.
• Implement the solution in synthesizable Verilog, applying coding rules, timing constraints and power analysis.
• Create a SystemVerilog testbench, run simulations and write formal assertions to prove IP functionality.
• Document RTL design choices and produce an integration guide for SoC usage.

Required profile

• Final‑year engineering student (Bac+5) in micro‑electronics or digital design.
• Good knowledge of System‑on‑Chip concepts and IP integration.
• Strong English proficiency and ability to work in an international, multi‑site team.

Required skills

• Hardware description languages: Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL, C, SystemC.
• Logic synthesis and simulation tools.
• Formal verification basics.
• Scripting: TCL, Python, Shell.
